“No Escape” – Robert F Cranny

Early in 2024, I spent some time with my old sparring partner, Ben Salter, inside his exhibit in the Museum of Old and New Art. Ben’s day job is to sit behind a velvet rope and compose songs in front of a passing audience of art lovers and curious tourists.

I spent a week there, finishing four songs, which Ben mixed as he travelled across Europe. The first one will be released on 6th December 2024. It’s a piano ballad about being stranded in your home town, when all you really need is to get away.

It’s called “No Escape”.
